Benjamin was born on the 11th of June 1982 and lives in Switzerland.
At the age of 11 Benjamin started his motor sport career with go karts before switching to open wheel in 1998.
Later that year he attended the BMW Junior School and won an entry in the 1999 BMW ADAC Formula Junior Cup. In his first season of German BMW ADAC Formula Junior Cup he was the driver to beat and won the series.
From 2000 to 2001 he raced successful in various open wheel series before receiving an invitation to join the Porsche Junior Selection where Benjamin finished 2nd to Mike Rockenfeller.
From there Benjamin drove various GT and Sportscars in the FIA GT, ALMS, LMS and at Le Mans.
In 2003 he became a Panoz factory driver in the ALMS and in the 24 hours of Le Mans driving the Panoz LMP1 Roadster. Benjamin finished 4th overall in Petit Le Mans and at Road America.
In 2006 he competed in various FIA-GT and LMS races with the All-inkl.com Lamborghini together with Frenchman Christophe Bouchut.
In 2008 Benjamin joined Speedy Racing and became a Spyker factory driver in the LMS and in the 24 hours of Le Mans.
2009 he drove Speedy Racing’s LMP2 Lola Judd and finished the famous 24 hrs. of Le Mans in second position. After the victory in the last round of the LMS in Silverstone, Benjamin also won the team vice championship in LMP2

2004 Le Mans 24 hours with Taurus Sports. Finished 8. in LMP 1
2003 Panoz factory driver in ALMS and the Le Mans 24hrs.
4th Petit Le Mans / 4th Road America
2002 Several races in the German V8 Star Championship. Youngest competitor in the 500 hp silhouettes Championship.
2002 Porsche Carrera Cup with Team Carsport.
Several races in Porsche Super Cup.
2001 Invitation to the Porsche Junior selection in Misano. Every other year Porsche invites several of the most outstanding drivers in Europe to their selection. Benjamin finished the selection 2. overall
2001 Benjamin won the Swiss BP Racing Trophy presented by Formula 1 Team boss Peter Sauber. Every year the most impressive young driver wins this trophy.
2001 Formula Renault European Championship and German Formula Renault Championship with JD-Motorsport. Benjamin was a front-runner in both series and finished several times on the podium.
2000 3.overall in the Italian Formula Renault – Championship. 1 victory
2000 Selection to the BMW ADAC Rookie Team with support from BMW and ADAC, competes in the BMW ADAC Championship 2000. 2. Best Rookie, 1 victory
1999 Winner of the BMW ADAC Formula Junior Cup in Germany. (20 races, 7 victories, 10 podium finishes)
1998 Winner of the BMW Junior School (78 participants), by it participation in the BMW ADAC Formula Junior Cup 1999 supports by BMW and ADAC
1998 First experience with Formula cars at Henry Morrogh Racing School in Italy. Benjamin is the winner of the Formula Ford Junior-Trophy.
1993 – 1998 Benjamin drives successfully in different Kart categories. The last three years he became a Swiss Hutless factory driver.
